Google Chrome lesson 7, Incognito mode

Setting incognito mode

When you are surfing on the internet using incognito mode the pages that you visit on the internet will not be saved in your browser history.
Also the files that you have downloaded will not be saved in your browser history.

Why would you surf icognito ? There can be a numerous reasons to do this but i will leave the answer of that to you users out there.

To surf icognito just click on the wrench icon in the topleft corner of Google Chrome and choose "New incognito window" from the dropdown menu.

This will open a new window that has a icognito icon in the top left of the window (1).
Type in a keyword or when you know where you need to be enter the url in the address area and hit the enter key.
For example i will enter the keyword "Wedding rings".

Whatever site you have visited none will be mentioned in your browser history.

To stop surfing incognito you can either close the icognito window by pressing the X icon in the topright corner of the window (1) or by pressing the X on the rightside of the tab (2).
I will explain more about using tabs in our Next lesson .
